Lufuno Mavhunga bullied video
Lufuno Mavhunga’s high school is remembering her for her infectious smile and as a sweet and loving person. Mavhunga died by suicide after a video of her being bullied went viral.
Lufuno was found unconscious by her mother and admitted to Siloam hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Limpopo police said on Wednesday that the Mbilwi Secondary School student who allegedly committed suicide after being assaulted outside the school grounds was found unconscious by her mother on Monday.
A 15-year-old student at the same school was charged with assault.
A video of a student being mocked after being punched in the face has sparked controversy, with social media users demanding action and the hashtag #JusticeForLufuno circulating.
